Positive Intelligence Coaching Program

I recently went through a six-week coaching program through Positive Intelligence, led by Shizard Chamine. Shizard also wrote an excellent book by the same name.

The point of this program is to help individuals achieve their true potential - both from a professional and personal standpoint.

One of the most significant parts of the program is related to identifying our saboteurs. There are ten of them, and “the judge,” aka “the master saboteur,” is the most powerful. It’s that voice inside of your head that says the negative, mean, and nasty things about you; things you would never say to another person.

On the flip side, there is the sage. The sage helps you battle the saboteurs and is the voice of reason in the grand scheme of things.

The takeaway that I found most valuable in the program is that it isn’t about changing who you are, but rather decreasing your saboteurs and increasing your sage.

Here’s a bit more about the sage types. There are five of them:

  • Empathy

  • Exploration

  • Innovation

  • Navigation

  • Decisive Action

And, on the flip side, these are the saboteurs:

  • The Judge (this is number one!)

  • Stickler

  • Restless

  • Hyper-Vigilant

  • Hyper-Rational

  • Hyper-Achiever

  • Controller

  • Avoider

  • Pleaser

  • Victim

Understanding our saboteurs and sage, and the effect they have on our life, can help us limit those saboteurs and increase our sage.

Life is good,

Jeff

I really liked how you explained the idea of saboteurs and the sage, especially the judge being the loudest inner critic. During my final year, I noticed my own hyper achiever side taking over, and I even relied on IT Assignment Writing service at one point because self doubt made everything feel overwhelming. Learning to strengthen the sage instead of fighting myself feels more realistic. Growth really starts with awareness.

I really enjoyed how you broke down the saboteurs and sage in such a practical way, especially the idea that growth is about shifting balance, not changing who we are. When I was juggling classes and even considered options like Take My Online Algebra Class, I realized my inner judge was louder than the actual workload. Learning to notice that voice helped me respond with more empathy and clearer action, which truly changed how I handle pressure.

I liked how this post explains the saboteur versus sage idea without making it feel overwhelming, especially the focus on the Judge as that harsh inner voice. When I was studying and juggling deadlines, I noticed that voice creeping in a lot, and at one point I even used a Health and Social Care Assignment Service during a stressful term to quiet that constant self-criticism. Learning to strengthen the sage feels like a practical way to build healthier habits over time.
